Juan Cabrera Susie Byrd Dori Fenenbock worm turns

As the worm turns

May 23, 2017

If I could choose two words that perfectly describe Superintendent Juan Cabrera and EPISD Board President Dori Fenenbock they would hands down be the words “TONE DEAF”.

They both display a stunning lack of awareness when it comes to how they are perceived by most El Pasoans.

A Cautionary Tale

May 16, 2017

Some politicians, when they term out, find it hard to say goodbye.

Susie Byrd wrapped things up as El Paso’s District 2 representative several years back but telltale Byrd feathers can be found as proxies in and out of the district continue her work to some degree.

The REAL REASON Attorney General Jeff Sessions visited El Paso last week

April 23, 2017

US Attorney General Jeff Sessions paid us a visit the other day and if you were to believe him, the notorious Mara Salvatrucha MS-13 gang has made their home here and is looking for people to swing their machetes at.

He acknowledged El Paso is one of the safest cities in America but then he added “You have gangs.”

This ad promoting El Paso SUCKS

April 07, 2017

Is this the best the people responsible for attracting tourists to El Paso can do?

I found an insert in todays El Paso Times promoting tourism to various Texas cities large and small including our fair city of El Paso.

Naturally I wanted to see what amazing ad represented our shining city

And it eats our hard-earned dollars.

March 29, 2017

There is a two-headed beast roaming around City Hall these days and it’s after our tax dollars.

Dr. Noe and Claudia Ordaz Perez both have an insatiable appetite to “tax and spend” and won’t be satisfied until they’ve gotten their furry little mitts on as much of our money they require to fund their agenda.

CITY COUNCIL FAIL

March 23, 2017

El Paso’s mayoral candidates were asked at a recent League of Women Voters of El Paso forum to grade our city council on their overall performance.

Six candidates graded the council and two chose not to.

Drumroll please…

Dee Margo gave them a D.

David Saucedo gave them an F.

SOS! We’re going to need your $$$ AGAIN

March 12, 2017

Juan Cabrera in tandem with Dori Fenenbock and Susie Byrd miraculously (and somewhat inexplicably) passed the most expensive bond in the history of El Paso taxpayer money grabs.

Just one problem.

One very big problem.

It is a bond costing us $670,000,000 plus interest over many years that STILL DOES NOT address the most pressing issues facing our students and their educators.

A second HUGE PAY RAISE for CABRERA?!

March 02, 2017

EPISD Superintendent Cabrera’s new contract gives him an additional 15 days of paid vacation for a total of 35 (7 weeks paid vacation!) AND a one-time “gift” of 20 additional sick leave days for a total of 40 sick days this year.

IF he wanted to, he could turn any unused sick leave days
