This series of manipulated photos from various scenes of the recent Charlottesville racial violence is not intended to be cute or humorous.
I am visually capturing innocence lost in a very ugly chapter in our country’s history.
The vitriol captured in various photographs stands in contrast to the naive and comforting big-eyed animals that are part of the culture of America.
When white, nationalist, Neo-Nazi Americans come into our towns to give notice that they are committed to ethnic cleansing in an effort to Make America White Again, with the sympathy of President Trump, shit will happen and the biggest victims will be our children as they are exposed to this kind of hatred and violence.
John McCain stated following the terror,
“White supremacists and neo-Nazis are, by definition, opposed to American patriotism and the ideals that define us as a people and make our nation special.
As we mourn the tragedy that has occurred in Charlottesville, American patriots of all colors and creeds must come together to defy those who raise the flag of hatred and bigotry.”
